• "Rome" Is Off To A Fantastic Start

  "Rome" on HBO (stateside at least) was one of the sleeper hits from summer of '05... the wiki is pretty interesting . The season premier for season 2 aired this past weekend, and it seems to be off to a fantastic start. Unfortunately due to production costs, this will be the final season. Bummer. Generally speaking I don't get into characters from TV shows too much, but wow do I feel for Vorenus . Marc Antony is shaping up to be a force to be reckoned with as well. • Casino Royale -- Fantastic Flick

  I managed to catch a showing of Casino Royale over the weekend...it was excellent . The Wiki sums up a lot of my feelings about the picture...IMO it's a great movie that just happens to be a Bond flick. No deluge of cheesy one-liners or over the top special effects, the action sequences are as raw as they are physical...in short Craig's take on the Bond character is the best I've seen yet. The movie itself is engrossing and captivating, again not just some razzle dazzle light show attempting to woo... • The Office -- What's the Hype About?

  So I’ve now watched two episodes of NBC’s new comedy, “ The Office ”…quite frankly I don’t understand what all the buzz is about. It’s nowhere near as funny as the original BBC version ; actually, the American version is dreadful at best. There were some funny scenes, but overall it’s repetitive, dull, and downright boring (which is unfortunate as Steve Carell is actually a really funny actor; I almost pissed myself over his scene in Bruce Almighty …if you’ve seen it, you know which one I’m talking... • Apprentice Season 3 Predictions

  That’s right folks, you heard it hear first (ok, maybe not first). Forgive the vagueness (18 (whoops, 17) candidates to get to know? I haven’t even lived that long yet…), but I really like the format this go round…street smarts versus book smarts. Seeing as I only did about a year and a half of college before entering the workforce, it’s pretty apparent where my vote lies…but I’m trying to be impartial. • Redskins Determine President

  I heard an interesting “fact” on Inside the NFL tonight...for the last 16 presidential elections (since 1936 for the mathematically challenged), the winner has been predicted by how the Redskins fared in the game preceeding the election; Redskins win == incumbent stays...Redskins lose == incumbent is audi. This isn't a scientific fact , but it will be interesting to see how the Redskins fare against The Pack this coming weekend vs how the election turns out. *Note to self*: buy a cheesehead...
