  • For All The Massive Attack Fans Out There

    I'm sure there has to be a couple of Massive Attack fans who visit this site, and if you're not (or have never heard of them) it's never too late to give them a shot. They helped pioneer the trip hop movement which set the stage for many later bands to follow ( Portishead comes to mind, among many others).   • Recent Band Discovery -- The Cinematics

    It's hard to sift through the crapola that is the music industry as of late...95% of the stuff that's out now is pure junk IMO. And who has time to go to the music store these days? Sometimes I wish I was a DJ so I could get paid to listen to music. Regardless, I've been trying to branch out some lately; TLC and I recently discovered a late night show on Fuse TV that caters more to indie rock and whatnot...The Dive.   • Digitally Imported Radio -- Techno Channel

    Digitally Imported Radio (my favorite streaming music choice for years now) recently added a new channel to their repertoire: Techno . AAC stream , 96k stream , and 32k WMP stream locations. Not for the faint of heart, but it's great stuff to code to. Casual electronica listeners might be thinking to themselves "isn't all electronica also called techno?" Yeah, kinda...but techno in itself is also a sub-genre of electronica, and it's hard to describe so just have a listen first...you'll either love...

    I was trying to track down a (apparently very hard to find, took me a few hours) tune recently and stumbled across this site: Hybridized.org . If you’re an electronica fan, just go to the site and it will speak for itself…there’s more free music there than you could ever want, and from very quality DJ’s nonetheless (and you don’t even have to sign up for anything). For the record, the track I was looking for is “Tilt – Goodbye”, which can be found...

  • Digitally Imported Radio -- Progressive Channel

    I meant to post about this a while back, but what with all the migration stuff that’s been going on, it slipped through the clutter I call my brain. Anyways… First off, if you’ve never heard of Digitally Imported Radio (and are a fan of electronic music), stop reading this and go over to their site. They are a free streaming audio company that caters mainly to the electronica crowd, and the quality isn’t that bad for the free streams (96k if you use WinAmp …and you should be using WinAmp regardless...
