Something all of us XBox Gen 1 owners have been wondering about has been confirmed over at Engadget ; (most) Gen 1 games will run on XBox 360…smart move on Microsoft’s part though I wonder if there will be a performance hit as of course this will have to be done via emulation given that the XBox 360 platform runs on a modified PPC architecture, and the Gen 1 runs on i386, though perhaps there could even be a performance increase as the 360 is packing some serious heat under the hood.
