• So That's How The eSata Drives Generate Revenue Money

  My new eSata drive arrived today...Newegg was having a special, so I got 320 gigs for 80 bucks. You can't beat that, save for one thing: It didn't come with an eSata cable. Price of said cable? 20 bucks , and it has to be ordered seeing as no one in a brick and mortar around here carries them. Sounds like a fantastic ploy on the drive makers' parts: Sell the drive for cheap, but charge an arm and a leg for the connectivity. It was still a pretty sweet deal even after having to fork out... • This Could Only Happen In North Carolina

  A while back, the story about inhaleable alcohol broke over the internet (I can't find the specific link, but this was announced several years ago in 2004). Fast forward to today, and there's an article floating around stating the machines have been banned in my home state of North Carolina (in addition to 21 other states). My home state is at the very center of the bible belt, and is also a haven for commercial televangelism so it's not a huge surprise until you factor in the following... • Well That Turned Out To Be A Nightmare

• Hang Up The Phone And Drive

  I saw the funniest thing driving home today. I pulled up behind a soccer-mom-mobile (and SUV for anyone who has no idea what that means) which had a fairly large bumper sticker with the following text: "Drive now, talk later." The driver was, of course, yakking away on the phone the entire time I was behind him. I don't care if you drive and talk, but if you're going to advertise something at the very least have enough dignity to stand by your convictions. • All The Men Out There Can Sympathize With Me

  Folks outside of the US more than likely have no idea what today is ...hell, I'm not even that much of a football fan (except for the past couple of years when the Panthers have done fairly well in the post season). That being said, it's a tradition here in the states...if even just for the commercials. I will be spending my day driving 4 hours to the NC mountains to attend a wedding. Yes, a wedding. • A Horrible Horrible Tragedy

  I've been going back and forth about posting this for several hours now. Tossing and turning, sleep will be a luxury tonight. So what the hell, I'll post it. Maybe I'll get a little peace out of it. Today I received about the worst news I've received in a long time...it ranks just under my Mother getting ill : One of my best friends passed away Tuesday afternoon after battling a lengthy illness. • Scam Update -- I Got Keyloggered

  I’m barely even coherent at this late of an hour due to lack of sleep over the past week (stressed to the max due to all this bullshit), but I have finally figured out what happened. A keylogger was installed on my machine, specifically this one (that link is safe to click on). • Time Warner Cable Really Pisses Me Off

  It’s not the fact that I’ve lost internet connectivity on average of 3 times a week for the past month or so. It’s not the fact that the last time I called them I was on hold for 30 minutes before getting anyone. It’s not even the fact that every month I feel like a victim when I pay my (overpriced) bill.   I observe a lot of things which on a (somewhat) regular basis irk the hell out of me. So, I’ve decided to create a new post category devoted to these irks/pet peeves.
