Can't Open Word Documents In Office 2007

I recently updated my Office 2007 Beta 1 installation to the Beta 2 Technical Refresh.  Everything is great except for one huge problem:  I cannot open any Word documents in Microsoft Word.  Attempting to open a file results in the following error:  "The file fileName is not available."  I can of course open .doc files in WordPad, but I really need MS Word.  Beta 2 was not afflicted with this issue.

Google came up with nada, though I did install the Office 2007 compatibility pack to no avail.  Anyone experiencing the same issue and/or have a workaround/fix for this?

Did you mean to put Beta 2 and not Beta 1? Office 2007 Beta 2 has been out for a while now and I run it with very few issues. If you have an MSDN that includes office you should be able to get it... Version number on my word is: 12.0.4017.1006

I got the same problem.. and don't know how to fix it.. I had try to fix by turning of the Antivirus program, like Office Help told me to.. but without any result.. :(

I disabled the office plugin in AV 2005 and it still didn't help. I can't work! Please help!

All right, got the same problem here! Got the 2007 version of office, and first it worked, although a little slow, great. Now an udpate (technical refresh, so called: Beta 2 Technical Refresh a.k.a. B2TR) has been brought out, but everything is screwed up! I just can't open my files... Please: if somebody has the answer...
