Fellow Community Server MVP Nick Brown has been busy pounding away at a new CS site skin called Aero (read his dev blog for updates), which is of course loosely based on its Vista namesake. Head over to his site to check it out in action (hint: click on the Customize tab on the far upper right). According to Nick there are still quite a few kinks to iron out, but via an IM conversation earlier we discovered it looks A) best in Opera 9.0 B) almost as good in Firefox and C) pretty good in IE (and he’s actively working on making it look even better in IE). I think it’s fantastic.
I’m really digging it thusfar and look forward to the final release, which per Nick, “will be released when CS2.1 RTM’s.”
Sidenote: I’d really like to see some CS skins that implement some of the features of my (for now) favorite skin for any blogging platform: Origami for SubText (look at the top left for some CSS goodies).
