What's Going On Around Here

Yeah yeah, it’s been a little dark around here lately.  I recently scored a substantial Community Server project (details to follow later on) which has been keeping me very busy…it’s a pretty large project and will keep me occupied for several months.  I’m also going through a pretty bad personal slump due to some poor decisions I’ve made (details may or may not follow, still seeing how things are going to pan out in the long run), plus my Mother’s health continues to deteriorate which is always a bummer.

So needless to say I’ve got a pretty bad case of writer’s block.  Hopefully everything will work out for better or for worse (shooting for "the better" of course) and I can get back to regular posting.  Cheers.

So sorry about Mom.  I'm visiting mine in a few days.  As I get older I'm more thankful for all things Mom related.  Keep those spirits up.

Details about the poor decisions, dude!  Man, what a tease!  (Sorry about that, too!  Truly!)

Now, onto the important stuff, you scored a several months Community Server gig????  You ARE a dog!!!  Details had BETTER follow!

I used to think I had  a monopoly on bad decisions.  But I survived and things are turning for the better.  The lesson here?  There is none.  Just gloating.
;)

Actually, I hope things work out for ya homie.

I hope that things go better. This month is not a normal and good month, I think. I got in trouble with my life, too.

I'm sure you will come back successfully ;-)

+ As you didn't write about your Mom in latest months I thought that she's fine but hope that she can get her health again.

Dave, appreciate the sentiments my man.  Spirits are high enough for now, landing the CS gig definitely was a boost.  The tease will have to remain a mystery for now until it passes, but who knows...maybe I'll get brave and post about it.  Unfortunately the details of that CS gig will have to remain under wraps for now due to NDA's (which I'm no stranger to), and even worse the general public won't get to see the fruits of my labor as it's an intranet.

Phil, trust me...I just took the monopoly away from you...let me know when you want it back and I'll happily oblige ;-).

Keyvan, it definitely has been a strange month thusfar...lots of ups and downs. I wish May would hurry up and get here.  As far as my Mom, I've been debating posting about her on a regular basis, but want to try and stay as on topic as possible. My previous posts about her were during major events, and nothing really major has happened recently. If something does I'll share. Thanks for your kind words.

Grats on the CS gig man. And I am sorry to hear about your personal troubles. I think we all make really bad decisions at one time or another, and I hope the wheel will turn and things will come right again soon.

Thanks Jaxon...I'm sure one way or another they will. Getting through it is the tough part.

I have decided that I'll post a little more in depth about it...writing is therapy and it'll be nice to air it out a bit.

About Jayson Knight

Jayson Knight was clueless to the computer programming world until he took a C++ class in college. The rest is proverbial history. He has been building applications targeting the .Net framework for 7 years, focusing mainly on internet technologies and database driven web application development.

Most recently he left the world of Corporate IT to finish up his degree in Chemistry, with an eye on Medical School and an Anesthesiology residency program. Read this post for more information.

He is also a Community Server MVP: Community Server is the software that runs this site, plus many others on the web. For more information, check out http://csmvps.com.

When he finds time to pry himself away from his computer and university studies, he can be found on the mountain bike trails when it's warm, and on the ski slopes when it's cold.
