Ok, not really as I do most of my work from home (lately at least). Haacked inspired me to post some pics though...what's funny is I've had these pics up on various community sites for a while now, so he's dead on about people posting pics of their workspaces online. I wonder why that is? Anywho, it may not be as high-tech as others, but it's got the usual makings of a geek desk (Dr Pepper bottle, infrared mouse, linksys wi-fi, surround sound, lotsa big red books, headphones for late night code jam sessions, stack of unopened bills, fuzzy dice hanging from the lamp...wait, that's not geek :-| ). I dig it, though I really want to get a flatscreen (dear Mom, send money).

Unlike most cubicles I've worked in, I have a pretty decent view from the window next to the desk from my 8th floor loft. Please don't laugh at my little city, it's better than it used to be. The construction in the lower right hand corner will eventually be dorms for the new Johnson & Wales university we're getting downtown. Looking out my window now I can see they are almost finished with them, whereas below they had just broken ground. I worked as a janitor in the building on the far right (aka The Carillon, I had the pleasure of meeting the artist who did the huge kinetic sculpture pictured in the lobby while in Switzerland one summer...he was a friend of the family (and one of the most interesting/entertaining people I've ever met)) when I was 15 as a summer job. Looking back on it now, it wasn't a bad gig for such a youngster. The tall building is the corporate headquarters for Bank of America (whom I might add are axing 4500 jobs nation-wide).

We should start a new show on TV called “Desks” (ala Cribs)...that's what this post has felt like. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.
